The lodge at tiburon
The Lodge at Tiburon is a wonderful hotel. The accessible suite is spacious for a power wheelchair. There was no problem with navigating the room.
There is an outdoor patio. There is a ramp to the patio, which seemed to be somewhat abrupt. The pictures do not show this well, so it is important to point this out. From the back patio, it is a short distance to the accessible parking and the front desk/restaurant.
This hotel does have a suite with roll-in shower. The bathroom seemed to be pretty cramped, especially for a larger wheelchair. Notice the pocket door to enter/exit the bathroom, so not actual door gets in the way. This is a fantastic feature.
A wheelchair user would need to use the shower to allow more room for turning around. Otherwise, a wheelchair user would need to back straight out of the bathroom.
There is no "lip" to separate the shower area from the rest of the bathroom and the same floor material is used throughout. As a result, it can be very wet and slippery throughout the entire bathroom. We do recommend ordering extra towels and may need to mop up the water.
